No Girls Allowed!

I didn't have anything to blog about. Just wanted to share some pictures.

This is Boston's suit for church. He looked pretty handsome. We have a fight every morning I want to comb his hair. He HATES it. He says he doesn't want anyone to see him and think he's handsome. I know... I'm a hairdresser. He should be use to it. Needless to say, his head will be buzzed by Saturday.

I could not talk Boston out of these white socks. He insisted. I had to give on something after I tackled him down to comb his hair.

We just bought Logan this Bumbo baby seat. He loves it.

Don't you just want to kiss him? He is such a cutie.

When we were at State Wrestling, Cody took Boston swimming in the hotel. Boston is quite the dare devil. He was jumping in the pool by himself (Cody was close by) and wouldn't let Cody hold onto him. He would even take the ring off and jump in the pool without it trying to land in the circle. We had to keep a very close eye on him.

Boston was a little fish. Loves to swim.

Logan enjoyed watching daddy and Boston with Grandpa Rich.

Oh, I do have one story to share. We had a wrestler in the finals at state this year that ended up getting pinned. After the match he was over talking to Cody, and Boston decided to tell the wrestler that he was not a good wrestler. Cody's mouth about fell on the floor. The wrestler didn't hear him and kept asking Boston "what?" so Boston kept trying to tell him that he wasn't a good wrestler while Cody was trying to cover Boston's mouth. Cody was explaining to Boston that he was a really good wrestler but Boston didn't care. He said "No dad, he got beat. He's not a good wrestler." The wrestler did end up hearing what Boston said and just thought that he was funny. He then challenged Boston to wrestle (playfully) but Boston told him "no, you're not good". All I can say is... 3 year old's.

We're Done!

You are being forewarned... this is a potty training blog. If you don't like to hear/read the words "poop", "pee", or anything like it, you are free to move on. Otherwise, enjoy.

Boston is potty trained!! I can not tell you how thrilled I am. I don't know how it happened but I don't care. We are done with changing a 3 year old's butt. We went from him kicking, screaming, fighting, & crying to him going both poop and pee (see there are the words) all by himself... and both in the big toilet! I was so happy he was going on his little potty but it was starting to get disgusting to clean it out. We are so happy he is a big boy now!!! Boston still wears pull-ups to bed but he has not had one wet one. We just have him wear them at night just in case. During the day it's all underwear all the time! Can you tell that we are a little excited? So is Boston.

The conversations we have are so funny. Here are a few things Boston tells me now that he goes on the potty:

* (this is after he goes poop on the potty) "Holy crap, that's huge!"

* "You better get out of here mom, I'm going to stink you out!"

* He was using TONS of toilet paper to wipe so we told him if he wants to wipe himself he can only use 3 squares. So he only uses 3 squares... each square at a time.

* (as he's running to the bathroom) "Watch out, I've got to go poop"

Those are the only things that I could remember and some of them have already happened today. We definitely have a very funny 3 year old.

Don't you think it's funny how once you become a mom, these things become everyday conversations with your friends who are also moms. If you decided to read this whole post I am assuming you are also a mom/parent and don't mind all of this. If you are not and find it a little weird just know that your day will come.

Lucky Girl

I'm warning you right now this is a brag blog so if you are feeling a bit squeamish already feel free to move on, otherwise enjoy.

I would have to say that I am one lucky girl. I have got the best husband in the world and the sweetest boys any mom could ask for.

Boston and Logan just love each other so much. They just enjoy hanging out together. Logan watches everything Boston does and thinks he is so funny. Boston is VERY protective of Logan and can't quit hugging and kissing him. I just love them so much!

Logan has been such a sweet little baby. He's just happy to be around everyone. He's a good cuddler just like Boston and is very smiley and talkative. We have really enjoyed having a new little guy around.Don't you just love bath time pictures? I think they are so cute. Whenever we give Logan a bath he just stares at himself in the mirror. He didn't like having baths till he realized that he could dangle his foot in the water and splash.

He has fun laying in his crib and watching his mobile turn and sing. It is so cute. He often talks the the animals dangling. This is what we sometimes put Logan in to sleep at night. He is a little wiggler and does NOT like to be swaddled. This seems to work great and keeps him nice and warm (thanks Uncle Marky and Nicole).

Who can pass up a picture of a baby sleeping with his daddy.

To close this post I would like to brag that.... Boston is potty trained!!! Hooray and hallelujah!

Playing Catch-up

I know it has been a while since we had posted. I have a good excuse... holidays. Does that work? Well here's a quick run-down of the last month.

The week before Christmas we decided to go see the lights at Temple Square. Beautiful! We haven't gone for years and we really wanted to take Boston. We almost weren't able to go because a couple of days before Boston got strep throat. Yuck. We felt so bad for him because he had an awful cough, sore throat, fever, and runny nose. As soon as we got the medicine down him though he felt better. We had a lot of fun walking around and Boston loved it. It was a little cold but we were all bundled up nice and warm.

We had a really nice Christmas.... well, almost. Boston ended up sharing the love and I got strep on Christmas Day. Pretty awful. It made me feel so bad for Boston that he had gone through all that because my throat hurt so bad. Luckily we have family in high places ;-) that were able to get me a prescription filled that day. By Sunday I was finally feeling well enough to get out of the house. At least I was able to enjoy opening presents with Cody and the boys. Boston enjoyed his Christmas. It was fun to get up in the morning with Boston to see that Santa ate the cookies, drank the milk, and left presents, even though we had to wake him up. Our boys are definitely good sleepers.

We blessed Logan last weekend. Everything went very nice. Cody did such a wonderful job on the blessing. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband who holds the priesthood and sets a perfect example for our boys. We had everyone over to our house after and enjoyed some yummy food. As I was getting ready to do this post I realized that we never took a picture of us together as a family, or even Logan in his blessing outfit. Oops. Well, while we were at church, right after the blessing, Logan decided to "fill" his diaper and it got on his outfit. So when we got home I had to change him into something else. We'll have to take one soon so you can see how cute Logan looked on his special day.

It's nice to be back to normal. Well, our normal. Cody is still busy with wrestling, teaching, and yearbook. In between all of that he finds time to spend with us. I still love working at the salon and Boston and Logan are getting so big. Boston is such a little smarty pants and he makes us laugh everyday with the things he says. Logan is becoming so alert. He knows who we all are and he just thinks Boston is so funny. He is always watching him and Boston loves to see Logan smile and talk to him. Boston's potty training is almost done!!! I cannot tell you what a relief that is. I never thought the day would come. Boston had absolutely no interest and I think he tried his hardest not to cooperate. Boys will be boys right. I sure hope Logan is a lot easier to train. Everyone is over strep but now Boston has a little cold. I can deal with that. Strep was a nightmare! So please, if you are sick stay clear of my house. I think we've had our fair share. Here are a few more pictures of our cute family.
