It has taken a while for us to get our blog updated. This holiday season has been crazy busy! On top of Cody's wrestling season (which he has loved) we've had family Christmas parties, trying to finish up the shopping, wrapping, and gift giving. And that was all before Christmas. The day itself was really busy. I'll start from the beginning though. We all love the holiday season so much. The shopping, the holiday music, the parties, and spending time with family. It is all just great. The Sunday before Christmas Cody's family has a party. This year we had it at a skating rink in town. We weren't too sure how it would be having it there, but it turned out awesome. They had pool tables, Foosball tables, air hockey tables, basketball hoop, tons of roller blades, and lots of things you pull out to play with. Boston loved playing at all the tables. He just kept rotating through them. When Santa came it was hard to pull him away from the pool table to get interested. When Santa called for Boston he perked right up and run to Santa, jumped on his lap and waited for his candy cane and present. He was so cute. It was nice to have him go up willingly and not screaming.
Cody and I strapped on the roller blades and decided to go skating. It has been forever since we've done that. It took a second to get the hang of it, but then it was great. His uncle Bruce pulled us around in a train which completely wore me out trying to keep up. It ended up being a great night for us all.
CHRISTMAS DAY!
Christmas day was pretty much set to a schedule. We loved being able to sleep at our house. Normally we've been out from Logan so it was nice to spend the first bit together in our home. Boston was extremely exited that Santa was coming. We left him milk and cookies on Christmas Eve. Boston decided that he had to have a bite of Santa's cookie before he went to bed. To be able to spend time with everyone we have to be to my dad and Robin's house around 6:30 am. We got Boston up at 6:00 because Santa had left him his stocking and a couple of presents for him under the tree. He wasn't too happy to be woken up but once we told him Santa had come he popped right up and said "let's go see". We had to go show him Santa ate the cookie and drank the milk. He loved opening his presents. We then got to my dad and Robin's and opened with them and played Guitar Hero World Tour for a bit. We have to be to Rich and Diane's by 9:00am to open with them. We had to give Boston the job of handing out the gifts to everyone because he thought they were all for him and tried opening some of them. It's best if we just give him something to do to help. After we are done opening we have breakfast and then get ready to be at my grandparents by 12:30 to snack with them. They try to get us to eat more but he had just eaten breakfast not long before. Boston was so tired he took a nap there so he didn't really get to see anyone. We get to relax for a little after we got home before we go to have dinner at Cody's aunt Carolyn's. They always have Frito pie for the Christmas dinner. Telling you all about our busy day just makes me tired. Hopefully one day we won't have to do all of it and we can be a little more relaxed. We just like to spend the day with all our family so that's just how it's has to be. Boston got lots of clothes for Christmas, a couple of basketball hoops (he now has one at every grandparents house), books, and a vacuum. He loves the vacuum. Cody and I got a Wii and a couple of games, new bedding, some baking supplies, a weed eater, and a few other things. We didn't go real crazy this year on shopping but we sure did enjoy everything. We can't wait for life to slow down a little but until then we'll try to keep you up to date on our craziness.
