I know, I know

I've said lately "no one updates their blog anymore", and here I am, almost a month between posts. I wonder if anyone actually checks my blog and noticed it had been so long. HELLOOO! Anyone out there? I am kind of curious to see who actually looks at my blog so leave me a comment and say hi! If you don't want to that's okay, you can keep it a secret.
Life is crazy as usual. We stay busy with wrestling, work, Boston getting his tonsils out (and recovered fantastically), Logan getting older and being naughtier, and getting ready for Christmas! Here are a few pictures of all the fun we've had!

For Boston's birthday his Uncle Marky and (future aunt) Nicole gave him a Build-a-Bear gift certificate. We finally got around to going. It was so cute! I highly recommend doing it around 4 years old. Boston did everything and had so much fun!

Boston's making a really good wish on his dog's heart. It was so stinking cute!
Making sure Youkilis (yup, that's the dog's name) had just the right amount of fluff.
So Boston did pick out his name. Youkilis is his absolute favorite Red Sox player (Kevin Youkilis) so that is what he wanted to name his dog.

We took the boys to see the temple Christmas lights. Even though it was cold and rainy they were still beautiful.
Boston and his best buddies Sawyer and Stetson. I just love Boston's snow suit. It keeps him so warm & he looks so cute!

What a cute face! Logan poses for the camera now. He is actually saying "cheese".
My sweet boys! Love them!!
They love each other so much! Boston is such a good big brother!
Logan is playing a game with Cody and laughing so hard!
My three favorite boys. Can't get enough of them.
Had to get a picture of Logan throwing a tantrum. It is so funny when he does it.
Do you think he's too young for a cell phone?
Boston while he was recovering from getting his tonsils out. You can tell he doesn't feel great. He actually did amazing and recovered like a champ.
And to top it off... the bottles are gone!!! We are so glad! It makes life much easier. What a big boy! I did try to get a picture of him while he was drinking but he had to stop so he could say "cheese". So cute!

I just wanted to share some pictures of the Bracken Christmas party. We have it every year and always look forward to it. All the kids have so much fun! You will see for yourself how much Logan likes Santa.

Hopefully it won't take another month to update the blog. I do like doing it, I just have a 1 ,4, & 29 year old keeping me busy. I am also looking forward to seeing who looks at my blog. Very curious, so make sure to leave me a comment. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!!

All About Us

My future SIL posted this questionnaire on her blog and I thought it was kind of fun so I thought I'd do it to. Here's a little bit about me and Cody.

{1} What are your middle names?
Cody's is Ray

Mine was Michelle till I got married and then I changed it to Herrera. If you asked Cody he would say it's Ugene (Eugene) so that my initials were DUH. Ya, he thinks he's funny.

{2} How long have you been together?
We started dating 13 years ago and have been married for 8! Ya Baby!!

Pretty much our whole life. I lived next door to his grandparents when we were little. Went to elementary school together for a couple of years and then Jr. high and high school.

{4} Who asked who out?
Cody would say that he asked me out first in 7Th grade, but I told him no. I then asked him to a dance in 10Th grade and he told me no. We finally got it right just before our junior year.

Cody and I are both 29.

We're equally smart in different areas. :-)

{9} Who majored in what?
Cody has his Assoc in Drafting and his Bachelors in Engineering and Technology Education.
I went to Cosmetology school at Hairitage.

{10} Who is the most sensitive?
I would have to say that we are both pretty sensitive, but I'm not sure what Cody would say. Maybe me?

{11} Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Connecticut

{12} Who has the worst temper?
He'd probably say me...hmm...ok I'd probably say me, too.

{13} How many children do you want?
Right now I'd have to say two sounds pretty good, but Cody would still like to try for that girl.

{14} Who does the cooking?
We both do, but I think Cody is the better cook.

{15} Who is more social?
I'm not sure, maybe Cody?

{16} Who is the neat freak?
I am! I like things in their place.

{17} Who is the most stubborn?
Hands down I am.

{18} Who wakes up earlier?
Definitely Cody. I don't like to stay up late or wake up early. Yup, a little boring.

{19} Where was your first date?
Neither of us can remember. But I do have to say that we've had a lot of fun ones!

{20} Who has the bigger family?
Immediate, I do. Extended, Cody does.

{21} Do you get flowers often?
Not often. Every now and then he'll surprise me.

{22} How do you spend the holidays?
Together and with family. That's what makes it so fun.

{23} Who is more jealous?
The girl I got this from said:
"probably me..of his time more than anything. He is really busy, which is a good thing, but we have to schedule time to just stay home, sometimes."

and I feel THE EXACT SAME WAY! (Had to copy you Nicole because that fits us PERFECTLY!)

{24} How long did it take to get serious?
Probably happened pretty fast because we had liked each other for so long.

{25} Who eats more?
Cody does.

{26} What do you do for a living?
I am a Cosmetologist (hairdresser) at Tangles Salon.

Cody is a Teacher, Wrestling and Soccer Coach, and Yearbook Advisor at Tooele High.

{27} Who does the laundry?
I do. That is the one thing Cody does not do. I actually enjoy doing it. Weird?

Definitely Cody!

{29} Who drives when you are together?
Cody does.

{30} What is your song?

If you decide you want to do this, leave a comment and I'll go check out your answers.

Frosty

As soon as it snows Boston thinks it's time to go out and make a snowman. Even if it's FREEZING outside and VERY windy! What a great dad he has though to bundle him up to go out and play. Boston's buddies Stetson and Sawyer were able to come over and help them out.

Boston, Stetson, & Sawyer
Since they finished the snowman they decided to build a slide out of snow as well. How fun!

Can I just say that right now I am not a big fan of Disney Channel or Nick Jr. Every single commercial is of a toy. So this is what I hear all the time:

Boston: "Mom, I want that."
Me: "I know, you want everything"
Boston: "Not everything. Just all the kids toys for boys."

Lets just say his list is not small and I haven't even started Christmas shopping. Where did the year go?

Roll 'em over... Lay 'em flat...

Pin the shoulders to the mat! Yup, wrestling has started!! Boston has so much fun at wrestling. I think he really enjoys it more because his cousin Hunter gets to go too. They are the same age and size so they do a lot of wrestling together. They look so cute at practice with the big kids.

Some more good news... WE HAVE A WALKER! Logan has been cruising for a while but now he just goes all over the place. It makes me laugh when he walks though because he holds his hands out in front of him (like below) and he looks like a little monster walking around. So happy he can do it on his own.

Lions and Bears... Oh My!!

We had a great Halloween. Boston was Leo the Lion (Real Salt Lake mascot) and Logan was Whinnie the Pooh. Loved their costumes and they worked out great for keeping them warm. They got tons of candy that we just absolutely needed (sense the sarcasm). We did trick-or-treat on main this year and was a little disappointed. Not as many businesses participated and let me tell you, standing in a extremely long line for one piece of candy isn't up my alley. Luckily Boston didn't mind skipping those ones. We did go into one of the skate shops which was a mistake because Boston was waiting patiently to get a rice crispy treat and all the bigger kids were shoving him out of the way. Mama Bear was getting unleashed and about took those kids out. I couldn't believe it. So I picked him up, got his treat and quickly got out of there. We then did the ward trunk-or-treat which turned out pretty good but got rained on a lot. Halloween is not that fun in the rain. This is the only family shot we could get. Logan wasn't too interested, hence the grumpy face.

So we attempted a shot of just the boys.

Boston giving us his best Lion ROOAARR!

Halloween picture with Uncle Marky and Nicole with her crazy lashes. Made my eyes water just looking at them.

And we had to take a picture with the boys buddies Stetson and Sawyer. They get babysat at their house. Sawyer is the knight and Stetson is the dragon. Such cute costumes. If you can't tell, this was the only picture we got of Logan smiling. He loves them.

To sum it up...

I have been a complete slacker! I just don't blog anymore. Not that I don't want to, I just don't think about it until it's a time that I just can't do it. That is going to be my new goal. Blog more often. There are some blogs that I like to look at (but would never tell them I look at their blog) that I think are so funny and wish that I could blog that way. We'll see how it goes. For now I've got to catch you up.

Connecticut Trip
My sister Mandy and her husband Dave with my niece Emily and new nephew Ashton live there. We were so glad that we got to go spend 10 days with them hanging out. It was very relaxing and lots of fun. Of course Boston and Emily fought like brother and sister most of the time and Logan would not stay off the stairs or away from the dog food, but we all had a great time. We can't wait till we can see them again.

Logan's Birthday
My baby has turned 1! And what a crazy year. We have found out that he is allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts, wheat, and soy. AHHHHH!!! We are getting some great suggestions on what we can feed him and hope that very VERY soon he starts growing out of these allergies. So for his cake we did a jello with banana bowl. It worked great... until he wanted to feed himself with a spoon and started flinging it. It was great to share this day with all our family. Thanks everyone!

Boston's First Day
What a big guy!! Boston has started pre-school. He loves it! He is a Baby Buff and goes at the high school. He gets so excited to bring all his work home.
Boston with is buddy/classmate Stetson. Two Baby Buffs!

Don't worry, next time I won't have so many pictures and the post won't be so long. But to give you something to look forward to... Boston starts pee-wee wrestling monday!! Pictures to come.

Outer space??

So lately Boston has had such a fun imagination. A few days ago this is the conversation Cody had with Boston:

Boston: Dad when are we going to outer space?
Cody: What? How are going to go to outer space?
Boston: When the space ship comes we can sneak on it and hide and it will take us up to outer space.

What a cute guy. I just love the imagination. I think he got the idea from his latest favorite movie Planet 51. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. It is very cute and is played at least once a day at my house, sometimes more.

Boston got his very own shaving kit for his birthday and he just couldn't wait to try it out. Good thing daddy can teach him how to do it.

Look at that cute face.

He's concentrating really hard. Now that he has shaved a few times, Boston will walk in the bathroom, look at himself in the mirror and rub his face and say "mom, I'm scratchy I really need to shave". Love him!

It killed me to have to give Logan another haircut, but I got sick of everyone telling me that he needed one. He sat pretty good but I sure had to be quick about it.

Boston has been into ties lately and just has to wear one to church. So he was pretty excited to have a new church outfit. So handsome!

Life, like always is crazy crazy! Work for me at Tangles is picking up and LOVING IT! If you haven't come in yet you definitely should. Always love new clients! Cody started school and always has something to do. A little worried about wrestling starting in another month. I wonder if I'll ever see him. It will be nice that Boston will get to start wrestling this season. Will definitely post pictures of that! Maybe soon we'll be able to relax a little and actually feel bored. I forget what that feels like. Oh well, at least we get to do these things together as a family. Love my boys!!!
